Eternity: Where?

Where will you spend eternity?  That is the most important question for which you can ever find the answer.  Here at Faith Baptist Church, we want to show you what God says about this question and show you from the Bible how you can know where you will spend eternity!

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6)

Here are three simple steps that will help you to have confidence of where you will spend eternity.

1.  Realize You Are a Sinner.

Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Each one of us is a sinner by nature and by choice.  Every sin is an offense against God.  The penalty for sin is a major matter. Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” You must admit to God that you are a sinner and confess to Him that you have sorrow in your heart because of your sin.

2. Recognize there is a Saviour

Romans 5:8: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” When Jesus died on the cross and then arose from the dead, He paid the price that was owed for our sin and provided the only way to Heaven!

3. Receive Jesus as your Saviour

Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  Romans 10:13: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Do you understand these Bible truths?  If so, then, let’s tell the Lord:

“Dear God, I admit to You that I’m a sinner headed for Hell.  I know I cannot save myself.  I believe with all my heart that Jesus died on the cross and arose from the dead to pay my sin debt.  I do right now place my trust in Him to be my Saviour.  Forgive me my sin, save me and reserve for me a home in Heaven.  In Jesus name.  Amen!”
